Why Are You Here?

Welcome to Cyborg Marketer, your weekly guide to growing your brand with AI.

In today's issue:

  • We're peeling back the layers on the ultimate creativity unlock: How do you continually conjure fresh, captivating marketing ideas that resonate deeply with your audience and keep you leagues ahead of the competition?

Ready to crack this concept? Let’s dive in.

The Offer > Audience > Angle Framework

You're in the trenches, fighting the good fight to make your brand stand out.

But constantly churning out fresh, jaw-dropping ad concepts that make your audience stop and stare?

It's enough to make even the most seasoned marketer want to wave the white flag.

But what if I told you there's a way to tap into an endless stream of ad inspiration, without burning out your creative spark?

Well, the other day, I stumbled across a tweet by Taylor Holiday that stopped me in my tracks.

It was a simple yet powerful framework for generating ad concepts: Offer > Audience > Angle.

I knew I had to share this with you.

When you're lost for ideas or don't know where to start, this framework is your guiding light. It's all about three key elements:

  1. The Offer: What's the irresistible hook that'll make your audience do a double-take?

  2. The Audience: Who are you talking to, and what makes them tick?

  3. The Angle: How can you frame your offer in a way that's bold, fresh, and impossible to ignore?

Nail these three components, and you'll be well on your way to ad domination.

AI Brainstorm

At this point, you’re probably thinking: "Gold, this sounds great, but I'm already stretched thin. How am I supposed to find the time to master yet another framework?" 🙄

Fear not, my friend. I've got you covered.

Imagine having an infinite well of ad concepts at your disposal. That's what happens when you combine the Offer > Audience > Angle framework with AI's analytical prowess.

I've created a custom AI prompt I call ‘The Offer Cube’ that takes this framework and injects it with a mega-dose of machine learning magic. ✨

Enter your data, fire up the prompt GPT-4, Claude or Gemini, and watch as ideas you never considered begin to take shape.

Using the information provided in <brand_information>:
1. Define the core product or product line.
2. Brainstorm 3 compelling promises or benefits the product offers, focusing on the needs and desires of the target customers.

5. Create 2 angles for each combination of audience, promise, and offer. The angles should appeal to the target audience, emphasize the promise or benefit, and showcase the unique product offer, demonstrating how together they address the needs, challenges, or aspirations of the group.
6. Combine the product, promise, offer, audience, and angle elements to generate a wide range of unique paid ad campaign concepts.

<output_format>
Please provide the ad campaign concepts in the following format:

Product > Promise > Offer > Audience > Angle

For each ad concept, include a brief rationale or justification explaining why the combination of product, promise, offer, audience, and angle is likely to be effective.

For example:
- Skincare Line > Flawless skin in 30 days > Anti-aging serum > Women in 30s > Unlock ageless beauty
Rationale: This ad concept combines a compelling promise of quick results with a targeted product offer that appeals to the desires of women in their 30s who are concerned about aging skin. The "unlock ageless beauty" angle taps into the emotional aspiration of maintaining a youthful appearance.

Generate at least 10 unique ad campaign concepts using the Offer Cube Framework and the brand information provided.

When I was creating the prompt, I was drinking a protein shake, so I thought to use the brand as inspiration for the test:

Here’s a brief overview:

Product: FitFuel Pro is a premium plant-based protein powder designed to support muscle growth, recovery, and overall fitness goals.

Description: Formulated with a blend of pea, rice, and hemp proteins, providing a blend of essential vitamins and minerals per serving.

Audience: Health-conscious individuals, fitness enthusiasts, athletes, and busy professionals aged 18-45, with a focus on those with an income of $50,000+ and a college education.

USPs: Superior taste and texture, transparent labeling, clean ingredients. Infused with a proprietary digestive enzyme blend to enhance protein absorption and reduce bloating.

Values: Clean, sustainable, and effective nutrition solutions while supporting individuals in their health and fitness journeys.

Current Offers: A bundle deal (buy 2 tubs, get 1 free shaker bottle) and a subscribe-and-save option (15% off on monthly subscriptions). The product is available in three flavors: Vanilla Bean, Rich Chocolate, and Strawberry Cream, with a price of $39.99 for a 2lb tub (30 servings).

I tried the prompt out in multiple LLMs and honestly, each of them had good ideas.

I still strongly suggest giving each of them a go and mixing and matching the best ones.

But here’s part of an output in GPT-4:

Why This Hits Home

The output is packing some serious heat when it comes to targeted ad concepts.

  1. Laser-focused on specific audiences. None of that generic "health-conscious individuals" BS. We're talking "active men aged 25-40 who lift weights" and "women aged 30-45 focusing on fitness and weight loss."

  2. Benefit-driven angles that pack a punch. "Fuel your strength, unlock your potential," "Lean out, live more," "Energize your hustle" - these angles aren’t messing around. They zero in on what these audiences really want and make them an offer they can't refuse.

  3. Smart product offers tailored to each group. Bundle deals for the bulk-buyers, subscribe and save for the loyal ones, sample packs for the flavor chasers.

After mixing and matching outputs from different AIs, you’ll get ad concept ideas miles ahead of the generic crap most brands are peddling.

The Bottom Line

I know coming up with fresh ad concepts day in and day out can feel like trying to climb Mount Everest in flip-flops. But the Offer Cube is your secret weapon.

But here's a truth: not every idea will be a winner.

And that's…okay.

The beauty of this approach lies in its flexibility. It encourages iteration, allowing you to refine and tailor your ideas until they strike the perfect chord with your audience.

So, what are you waiting for?

Grab your product, your audience, and a truckload of creativity, and start cubing your way to ad success.

Here to inspire and guide you,
